Actually, there are tricks to the game. There are many relevant guides to Coconut shy which can be found simply by looking them up on the internet. Once someone has found their correct strategy, their chances of winning increse. That indicates that it is not just a game of luck, though still a hard game to play.

Coconut Shy is a mystery and a CHEATER !!!i don't think a person can beat that *!!!You'll get 50 points or 300 points but its 4859 to 1 chance of you to beat that game and grab hold of a coconut, if it can even resist eating you that is. But lataly, everyone wants to get a shot at it once in a while and who knows, you might get a coconut and it's avatar. I doubt anyone is gonna hit it. No offense that is.
